Ghanaian born fashion designer, Immaculata Ewuresi Larbi is the CEO and Creative Director behind the Lifestyle brand, HARMATTAN. After studying psychology and Social Work in the University of Ghana, she delved into Fashion as well in 2009 to harness her passion and creativity and turn it into a part-time business.
Her brand specializes in Ready to wear seasonal collections as well and bespoke pieces.
Her works depict cultural strength, an African identity as well as the freedom to be simple but elegant. Her constant travel all over the globe enhances her inspiration for her work and creativity.
The brand since its inception in Ghana sold all over the world including in ; U.S.A., Cote D’Ivoire, Togo, Germany, Poland, Dubai, to mention but a few. Shop Harmattan has been associated with TV shows and Programs as well as Charity Projects aimed towards Empowering the Modern woman and the Girl child on National Television Stations such as Viasat One TV, GhOne TV, TV3 and GBC. The brand has also sponsored events and projects such as Harmattan Indulgence Week, Woman Rising Show, The PL show, Project Walkway Ghana.
After going Global, the Vision is to not only be known for fashion but also be recognized as a brand empowering women through fashion and lifestyle. To own a piece from Shop Harmattan is to support workers from Africa who work tirelessly to bring these beautiful designs to life.
The Brand also supports less privileged women and children in selected areas in Ghana- as an amount on every apparel sold goes directly to the Harmattan-Zoe Support Foundation (an NGO which is Founded by the CEO to offer annual medical and clothing support to less privileged women and children in selected areas in Ghana).
